Firstly, The Grand Lodge of Freemasons within CyberNations has no affiliation to the actual craft of Freemasonry. We use the name 'Freemason', the associated rank structure and symbols in a totally "In Character" fashion for gaming purposes only.
Like Real Life Freemasonry however, the Lodge alliance does draw several ideals from its namesake.
Freemasonry is one of the world's oldest fraternal societies. Its members are concerned with moral and spiritual values and pursue a way of life that complements their family and community affiliations. They seek a better way of life and treat all men as equal regardless of race, religion or social standing.
Every true Freemason:
seeks ways to share in building a better community;
shows tolerance and respect for the opinions of others;
practices charity care for the community as well as his own family;
strives for the truth, requiring high moral standards;
Like RL Freemasonry; CN Freemasonry is:
a voluntary association of men (and women in our case).
teaches morality through symbolism.
an attitude towards life.
a means to make good people better people.
a place where honesty, brotherhood, and integrity are practiced.
And like RL Freemasonry; CN Freemasonry is not:
a charity organization, but makes charity a duty.
a secret society, as it does not conceal its existence or purposes.
